SONATA ARCTICA have been confirmed to play at Kivenlahti Rock (11.-13.06.2010) in Espoo (Finland) on June 13th. For more information check Kivenlahtirock.com.

A re-release of “Takatalvi” (previously released in 2003 in Japan) with an extended tracklist is now on presale at the official Sonata Arctica Webshop. You can order it from here. The release date is January 27th, 2010.

SONATA ARCTICA has been confirmed to be one of the 40 bands to play on the “70000 TONS OF METAL” festival on board of a luxury ship. The 5 day cruise starts in Miami FL (USA) goes along the Cuban coast to Cozumel (MEX) and back to Miami.

SONATA ARCTICA will play at Rock Harz Open Air in Ballenstedt (Germany) next summer. The festival takes place between July 8th – 10th 2010 and the correct show date will be announced later. For more information check RockHarz.com.

The recently cancelled Paris (F) show will be rescheduled on February 8th, 2010. Moreover, there will be an additional show in Zürich (CH) on February 7th.

Unfortunately the two French shows tonight in Bordeaux and tomorrow in Paris had to be cancelled. However, those shows will be rescheduled at a later point.

SONATA ARCTICA will return to Russia to play two shows in February 2010. See the dates below:

Due to a heavy infection of his vocal chords, Tony Kakko (voc) had to visit a hospital in Budapest yesterday. Today’s show in Graz (18.11.2009) had to be cancelled as well as the two following shows in Vienna (19.11.2009) and in Munich (20.11.2009) as the severity of the infection does not allow him to perform on next few days.

SONATA ARCTICA regret to disappoint their fans in Graz, Vienna and Munich, but of course these shows will be re-scheduled and the new dates will be announced soon. Tickets for all shows will remain valid.
We hope that Tony will convalesce from his illness fast, so that the tour can go on with the show in Pratteln/Z7 (22.11.2009).

UPDATE: As announced previously, the 3 cancelled shows of the Sonata Arctica Tour 2009 (Graz, Vienna and Munich) are re-scheduled now.
